Follow the instructions of the notice. * Use a volt/ohmmeter with high impedance (10 kΩ/V minimum) for troubleshooting electrical circuits of the system. * If the following parts have been dropped, or have cracks, dents and other defects in their case, bracket, and connector replace with new one. * For the purpose of reuse, never disassemble and repair the following parts. * Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace with new parts. * Even in cases of a minor collision where the SRS does not deploy, the following parts should be inspected; * Do not expose the following parts directly to hot air or flame; * Before repair, remove the airbag sensor if shocks are likely to be applied to the sensor during repair. * Steering wheel pad * Side airbag assembly * Front passenger airbag assembly * Curtain shield airbag assembly * Knee airbag assembly * Seat belt pretensioner * Center airbag sensor assembly * Front airbag sensor assembly * Malfunction symptoms of the SRS are difficult to confirm, so the DTCs become the most important source of information when troubleshooting. When troubleshooting the SRS, always inspect the DTCs before disconnecting the battery. * Rear airbag sensor assembly NOTICE :When inspecting or repairing the SRS, perform service in accordance with the following precautionary instructions and the procedure, and precautions in the Repair Manual applicable for the model year. * Side airbag sensor assembly * When the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery, the memory of the clock and audio system will be cleared. So before starting work, make a record of the contents in the audio memory system. When work is finished, reset the audio systems as they were before and adjust the clock. Some vehicles have power tilt steering, power telescopic steering, power seat and power outside rear view mirror which are all equipped with memory function. However, it is not possible to make a record of these memory contents. So when the work is finished, it will be necessary to explain it to your customer, and ask the customer to adjust the features and reset the memory. To avoid erasing the memory in each system, never use a back-up power supply from outside the vehicle. * Work must be started more than 90 seconds after the Power SW is Pushed to the "OFF" poition and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery. (The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source so that if work is started within 90 seconds from disconnecting the negative (-) terminal cable of the battery, the SRS may deploy.) 14 PA 13 5 DD 29 DA 21 13 MPI2 4K 10 GR 10 SB 4I GR R R R R B V26(A),V27(B) 5 1 18 B A GSW GR-L(*2) GR-L(*1) MPX1 24 Junction Connector 2F MPX1 D 15 GR Door ECU (Front LH) Door ECU (Rear RH) GR MPX4 6 A A29 G-R(*1) 6 MPX2 5 A30(A),V3(D) MPX1 26 DA MPX1 14 14 MPL2 21 LC 5 MPL1 G GR W 49 BR 27 31 B MPX1 21 LC MPX2 6 GR Windshield Wiper SW Assembly MPX2 BE GR 40 GR 6 2 Front Controller 2F 1 7 Body ECU (Cowl Side J/B RH) K22 5 K68(B) MPX2 20 Luggage Room J/B ECU A DA 7 K66 GSW 16 Gateway ECU Junction Connector K74(A),K79(G),K81(I) W-B W-B 5 DA 10 DA 13 4E 5D 15 PA 5 7 W-B W-B PD 1 3 2 ST-Plug 1 3 2 ST-Plug 2 1 1 1 1 2 1 2 A 5A 15 5G 11 PD 9 8 W-B W-B W-B I I PD A6(A),A7(B) W-B W-B W-B W B BR GR 28 27 CANL CANH 7 DD Airbag Squib (Driver's Side Knee Airbag) Airbag Sensor Assembly Center 1 2 3 4 Y-B Y Y-R Y-G Y-B Y Y-R Y-G B B A A 1 A1 +SL A 20 -SL A 2 1 W B W B -SL +SL 2 1 A25 +SR A -SR A Pretensioner (Rear LH) 2 K44(A),U13(B),V16(C) 1 W B W B -SR +SR 2 2 V5 SFL+ C SFL- C Pretensioner (Front RH) 1 Y-B Airbag Sensor (Rear RH) Y SFL+ SFL- 2 U3 SFR+ B SFR- B 1 Y-B Y SFR+ SFR- 2 VUCL C Y Y-B PLR- 3 C PLR+ 1 RL+ RL- V23 2 B Y Y-B PRR- B PRR+ 1 RR+ RR- U18 2 C Y Y-B PL- C PL+ 1 L+ L- V9 4 2 B Y Y-B PR- B PR+ 1 R+ R- U7 2 A Y-B Y DK- A DK+ 1 DK+ DK- K14 2 A Y-B Y PK- A PK+ 1 PK+ PK- K71 1 C B W ESCL C VUCL 2 V12 1 C B W ESL C VUPL 2 V8 ESCL VUPL ESL (IG) VUCR 2 V19 ICL+ C ICL- C 1 Y Y-B ICL+ ICL- 2 U16 ICR+ B ICR- B 1 Y Y-B ICR+ ICR- 1 U10 VUCR B ESCR B ESCR 2 W B A 2 3 Outer Mirror SW Assembly Display & Navigation Module Display Engine Control Module A/C Amplifier K98(A) DCM (Telematics Transceiver) MPX1 A MPX2 A 13 R 22 R Junction Connector V V V (BAT) (IG) 1 Tire Pressure Warning ECU 2 7.5A GAUGE DA 25 13 B 20 A32(A),A33(B) A 10A MPX-B R G-R P G-R DK 5 DA 24 Airbag Sensor Assembly Center K44(A),U13(B),V16(C) B K99(D) 10 4J GR PJ 9 26 LG 6 MPX1 GR 12 MPX2 K45 K12 4 MPI1 SB 30 MPX+ PA Y MPX1 31 MPX- 11 PA 9 8 MPX2 LG K52 P PD GR 10 P O7 MPX2 9 8 MPX1 15 W MPX1 MPX2 9 8 M4 K73 15 Power Window Master SW Q13 V Gateway ECU K66 P GR P P GR P Front Seat Inner Belt (Front Passenger's Side) K66 Gateway ECU V Occupant Detection Sensor 1 A 7 B 11 SRS B Combination Meter 25 20 A 21 MPX- MPX+ ES K31(A),z2(B) A A 5 IG+ B Telltale Lamp Assembly R R R R * 1 :w/ Adaptive Front-Lighting System * 2 :w/o Adaptive Front-Lighting System A 16 DA 8 DA 14 W SIL 7 4E 6 LG * 4 :w/ Seat Position Memory * 5 :w/o Seat Position Memory * 9 :1UR-FSE (*8) 25 A 24 A (*9) 4 D AIR PD 17 PA 21 A P-AB 17 B B 38 Y 24 A *10 :w/ Passenger Airbag ON/OFF Indicator PASSENGER AIRBAG ON/OFF Indicator (*10) (*10) (*10) (*10) z2(B) LG R (*6) (*6) (*6) * 6 :w/o Occupant Classification System * 7 :w/ Occupant Classification System (*8) (*8) (*8) (*8) (*8) * 8 :2GR-FSE A 24 Y DA 22 DJ 27 Y GSW GSW3 K16 Data Link Connector 3 SIL R 6 4C 6 B 9 17 B FSR- FSR+ FSR+ FSR- 2 3 11 12 W (*7) B (*7) P (*7) L (*7) GND 3 9 5 10 5 W-B (*4) W-B (*4) Junction Connector a9 Junction Connector a5 W-B (*5) 5 W-B W-B Occupant Classification ECU a17 (IG) 10A IGN DA 27 IG 9 L 4 60 L 5K 12 5H 12 B B 4F R R 59 1 R 10 PS PS 6 7 15 VPS GPS V R VPS P GPS 2 3 1 Occupant Classification Sensor a20 BT BT 16 17 8 VBT GBT GR G VBT BR GBT 3 2 1 Seat Belt Tension Sensor a19 BSW RBE+ 13 14 BGND Y RBE- W 2 1 Front Seat Inner Belt (Front Passenger's Side) a18 Occupant Classification ECU a17 PA ARON W 8 PD A W PAON 2 23 DIA Occupant Classification ECU a17 Body ECU (Cowl Side J/B RH) K68(B) Body ECU (Cowl Side J/B RH) K68(B) D 3 R 11 DD 15 4C 12 4E A C C G G W CA1L 18 L CA1H 17 B 14 B 13 D 1 D 2 K66 Gateway ECU BR GR Junction Connector K1(A),K3(C),K4(D) R R R R 15 4J V Side Airbag Squib (Front RH) Front Seat Inner Belt (Driver's Side) MPX1 Headlamp Swivel ECU 8 9 MPX2 MPX2 W GR MPX1 29 BR MPX1 MPX2 28 27 10 GR Certification ECU U28 SB P LG 3 PJ 15 PD 10 5A 10 5E 48 GR 12 MPD2 MPX1 24 7 MPX2 MPD1 3 M9 14 GR GR 12 12 L MPX2 9 12 P U22(A),U23(B) B A 9 10 Junction Connector 5 P O3 8 Body ECU (Cowl Side J/B LH) MPX1 10 P KU2 Ua2 Kc1 Kc1 Kc1 Kc1 KA1 KA1 KA4 KU2 KU2 Ua2 Ua1 Ua2 Ua2 MQ2 MV2 OU1 MU1 MU2 OU1 OV1 MV2 MQ2 KU2 OV1 UV1 KA2 KA2 KA2 UV1 KU2 KV1 KA4 K4 K2 K2 K2 K1 K4 U1 K1
